  1. no you might short wire it by accident!

  2. The fuse you use will depend on the wire guage that you use – be sure to fuse it at the source (battery).
A toggle switch might not be a bad idea depending on the accessories you plug into them. A relay that powers them up with the key is an even better way to do this because you’ll never remember to turn the toggle switch off every time.

  3. Although you can install this. I wouldn’t,but, if you are going to. Tie it in properly not directly to the battery. Although you can, you run the risk of draining your battery very quickly and if not done properly you also run the risk of causing the battery to blow up. your battery is constatly exuding this vaporess chemical that is not only a toxin but can easily ignite and cause a very big battery acid filled explosion. use a 50 for the fuse. It’s better to be able to transfer more power than not enough. The not enough tends to cause some major issues when it comes to transferring power.

  4. I would say yes, put in a toggle switch. However, make sure you put it somewhere that you can’t bump it accidentally, because it is annoying enough to have the plugs wiggle out of the socket. Having a dead phone battery because you accidentally switched it off would not be cool. Otherwise, when not in use, shut ‘em off. Also, be careful where you put them, if you mount them facing up, it is easy for a coin to fall in and cause a short & blow your fuse. I would stay with a 25amp fuse for both.
