i have been given a box of genuine cohiba esplende(?) cigars. problem is, they are 2 years old. i'm not a cigar nut, but i'd love to bring these back to life. is there a way to accomplish this?

Put a lightly damp paper towel into a large ziploc. Put the box of cigars in to the ziploc. Voila. You'll have to go by feel to know when the are ready. Chances are that they will never taste like they did. A lot of the essential oils will have evaporated.

I’ve heard of people restoring dried out cigars by placing them in a humidor and giving them some time. I agree with the other answer, though, they’ll never be the same after drying out.
