A nice place to go with some business partners. We have Cubans so we want a place where we can bring our own cigars. Thank you in advance

First of all - what part of NYC are you going to be in?

Secondly, due to Bloomberg's smoking ban, the few places that do allow cigar smoking will expect you to purchase at least once cigar, as well as drinks from them.

  1. Merchant’s Bar on 1st Avenue and 61st Street. It’s a restaurant upstairs and a cigar bar downstairs and when I used to go about 3 years ago (used to perform there…couldn’t take the smoke), you could bring your own cigarettes or cigars.

I would call first though to make sure their policy hasn’t changed.

  2. There are a few cigar bars still in NYC where you can enjoy a smoke and some cocktails. The two I have been to recently would be the Carnegie club at 156 W 56th St, and Club Macanudo at 26 E 63rd St. They are both very nice.

  3. I have past one on 6th Avenue and it is between 59 street and 55 street. I can’t remember the name or the exact location. It is on the East side of 6th Avenue. It might be on the same street as Rue 57. I know it is after Radio city music hall if you are heading in a North direction.
