Question by manceak2001: What the best place to buy premium cigars in Washington D.C?
I'm staying in Chantilly; should I buy there or do it in the city?
Is the JR Cigar there any good?
Thanks!

HEy i like jr alternative, and their ultimate line, but if they were better than a cuban they would get rave reviews but everyone, they dont, cubans are simply better. and like i said people who say cubans are overated dont smoke them. pure and simple.

I have smoked and over paid for many many cuban cigars the oly cuban cigar I can remember realy enjoying was a romeo y julieta
the rest were no better than a jr alteritive
and I much rather pay for a jr cigar for 1/10 the price
cohebas are the most over rated cigar
most the cuban cohebas you get are fakes anyway
i refuse to buy a short story no matter how much I like them
in fact I will not pay more than $6 bucks for a cigar

what im waiting for is if they open up the embargo, other companies like oliva, padron, perdomo, ect.. will be able to buy cuban tobacco to use for fillers, binders, and wrappers, can you imagine the wrapper of a serie v oliva, with cuban filler? or a 1926 padron with the same, there will be some interesting blends for sure.
Good work steve, great video.

well your right, and wrong, after the cuban fiasco in 2001 cuba wont be upping production of their inventory, in 01 they tried to double their output of cigars, thus making many many mistakes, this is why a lot of people sell vintage cubans that come from that eara, but you take a gamble in the quality. now the price may go up initialy but would not stay high for long, because any tom dick or harry can get their hands on cubans, and do, just about anytime we want, many ppl already have em

anyone who says cubans are over rated, obviously doesnt smoke them very often, there are very few cigars i would choose over a good cuban, and you can buy a good cuban anywhere from 5-12 bucks a stick, so why pay 12 for a short story or 18 for a 1926 when you can have a cuban siglo VI or a partagas lusitiana which are a better cigar for less?

I think if the cuban cigar comes back it will be a fad for a year or two and people will realize that the cuban cigar is way over rated
and people will go back to what the usualy smoke
but it may bring cigar prices down
I remember 10 years ago a short story was $2 buck
now I see them from $7 to $12
I think it will drop to $5

Cuba can only produce so many cigars as it is, they will not be able to produce any more for a while,i think prices will go up for Cubans, but we might be able to get great deals on Honduros and Dominican cigars
