How do you remove the adhesive from cigar labels?
Question by thebabbster: How do you remove the adhesive from cigar labels?
I am collecting cigar labels to make framed pictures featuring all the brands of cigars I've smoked. The problem is that some of the labels tear when I try to open them to flatten them out. One cigar shop owner told me to steam them in a colander, but some of the labels lost color. Any ideas?

when i had to remove labels at work, we used this hand held thing that blew hot air, so try a hair dryer. pretty muich the same thing, practice on something else first because you can burn the label.

Heat.
It is easier to remove the band while you are smoking the cigar as the heat will loosen the adhesive.
