Cigar Lovers…..?

I am looking to purchase some kind of Cigar accessories for my boyfriend. I am looking at Humidor Sets at the moment. I have seen them range from to over 0. My questions is who makes a good humidor and are the accessories (lighter, cutter) a lower quality in the sets?
Any other accessories I could purchase for him? He is just getting into them and doesn't have much at the moment...
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

great question I wish you were my girlfriend. The most important thing in a humidor is the humidifying apparatus. I don't like those solutions you buy, I like distilled water and a fairly sophisticated device for delivering the moisture (I don't remember the name). Its important because if the moisture is too high the cigars will develop a moldy odor. very bad for a .00 cigar. You (he) will also need a humidity gauge. Try a local cigar store for both. The local tend to be very helpful for a novice. If you want the Internet try JR Cigars. They are great and quite reasonable price. I buy all my cigars from them.

The set you had a link too looks like a good set, although it was only a 12 count. You may want to get a humidor that will hold 25-50, if he smokes cigars on a regular basis. You should be able to get a good humidor for under $100. A good cutter, lighter, or ashtray would be another idea. Colibri is a good name.

The best cutters on the market, in my opinion, are the Xikar brand. They also make some very nice lighters. The lighters and cutters have very good warranties and are less expensive and more reliable then the Colibris recommended above. Xikar also has a good digital hygrometer and good humidifiers.
I would also reccomend going to a local cigar store and looking at humidors and accessories.
