Can you explain what ‘candied wood flavor’ or ‘hint of wet leather’ in Cigar Aficionado Magazine taste like?
Question by spoogo: Can you explain what 'candied wood flavor' or 'hint of wet leather' in Cigar Aficionado Magazine taste like?
Words they(Cigar Aficionado Magazine writters) use to discribe taste of some cigars often makes me wonder if they ever tried to eat 'canded wood' or 'wet leather' along with many other tasty objects most people consider as non-food.
Or, may be this is an imagination issue?

Actually the editor to Cigar Aficionado routinely licks wood on all fours at various sporting venues and fine restraunts. I would recommend you start slow. Find your nearest Lowe's or Home Depot, find the lumber yard and find scraps to suck on, watch out for splinters, you idiot!

you can take a piece of leather and wet it, close your eyes smell it, and taste it then smell a cigar and you will be able to identify the smells. Cigars are like wine they can have a sweet smell, or a fruity smell or a woody kind of smell. FYI: You are not an idiot. You wrote a good question.
