Question by Vicky: my hygrometer wont go over 50% when i did the calibration, i fallowed the directions and it wont go above 55.?
its been in the bag for at least 13 hrs and still says 55% should i adjust the set screw until it reads the correct 75% ? or retry the process again ? by the way this is for my cigar box so it needs to b accurate so the cigars don't get ruined . thanks alot

First off it is called a hydrometer. Secondly it does not measure in percentage it measures specific gravity. Some have percentage markings that are really just meant to show you how much alcohol *could* possibly be made that that gravity.
A specific gravity of 1.000 would be water. A gravity of simple syrup is 1.333. After that you can not physically get any more sugar to dissolve into the water.
I would go back and read the instructions on how to use your hydrometer.

Great video. Boveda One-Step claims “once opened (unsealed) it can be used for 3 months”. Obviously this is if you re-ziplock after each use.
